Growler courtey of pepsican. Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells of flowers, nutty, funky, grassy, hay. Tastes dry with some mellow tartness, subdued citrus, funky with a dry finish. enjoyable and pretty true to style.

On draught at the brewpub in downtown Mt Horeb, Wisconsin. Pours a hazy golden blonde brew with fast dissolving white head that quickly dissipates to a fine white ring. Aroma of banana, light cloves, yeast, some golden grain malt, honey and a touch of herbs. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, some honey, light cloves and a touch of lemon. Finish is semi-sweet at first that changes to a tart lemon and crisp aftertaste. Some multi personality character going on with this saison.

On tap at Grumpy Troll. Poured apple juice golden with zero head even when agitated. The aroma picked up lighter fruity sweetness and caramel upfront with mild spicage and sour fruit skins around.. odd and not enticing. The flavor had sour lemon and light fruit skin sourness all over with pale and honey malt sweetness behind.. not good. Sour on the palate with low carbonation.. dry at the finish.. did not flow well. Something appeared to be terribly wrong here.

Growler, courtesy of Skyview. Hazy yellow color with a thin head. Strong, bready aroma, slightly herbal. Light orange, sweet honey and herbs for the taste. A bit of a soured finish.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear gold color with a thin, limp white head. Kind of sorry looking for a saison. Not much aroma other than a touch of hay and earth. Light bodied and tart with an off-putting metallic note. There was a distinct tart fruit flavor that closely resembled lemon and overwhelmed the the subdued cereal grain and clove flavors underneath. Dry and acidic at the end. This one didn’t really come together for me.
