Aroma of sweet toasty caramel malt with some light piny hop character. Starts with good fullness and sweet caramely maltiness before a slightly drier bittersweet and crisp finish. An enjoyable Scotch ale, but could use a little more peaty character. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

Aromas of dark caramel, dark toasted to roasted malt and some earthy hops. Flavors of dark caramel, earthy toasted malt and just a hint of peat. I could use a bit more rich and smokey malt in mine. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The taste was caramel with some hints of tobacco and some smoke. Funny that I could not smell the smoke. A pretty good example of the style. Skyview (4076), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA

Pours a mostly translucent golden amber with a medium creamy bubbly off white head. Aroma of light peat smoke, toffee, some citrus notes, toffee and some caramel. Flavor was much of the same. Doesn’t exactly look like a Scotch Ale, but it was solid in taste and aroma. A little thin.
