Feb 17, 2008 On draught at the brewpub in downtown Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear, orange-ish amber brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and creamy white ring. Aroma of sweet grapefruit zest with some candi sugar, cotton candy and some light bread malt. Taste is full bodied, very little carbonation with a very warming alcohol presence. Flavors include sweetened grapefruit, candi sugar, some fruity pear and apples, and a light touch of wintergreen. Finish is alcohol warmth, quite sweet with a mild bitterness that accompanies the sweet grapefruit zest flavor. This one will warm you up.
