Apr 1, 2009 CASK CONDITIONED - Similar to the regular version, but silkier. Has an aroma like a baby’s diaper, but the taste is considerably (and thankfully) better than the aroma may give as an impression. I prefer the non-cask version of this beer.
REGULAR - On tap at the brewpub, pours a clear red color. Very smooth, taste is earthy but not dirt hops, some caramel, thick but not overly so. It’s a good beer, but I wouldn’t call it the brewer’s best selection.

Feb 23, 2009 Hmmmmm... When you’re working with 100+ IBUs you’re working with a need for some serious balance, however this one is one of those Double IPAs where the focus on the malt balancing the hops produces some pretty wild flavors. This is pretty sweet and fruity plenty of pineapple and citrus with some odd caramel sweetness and I swear some coconut, however it’s pretty hoppy too with a lot of nice bitterness. The aroma is very floral and nice. Pours a hazy blonde with a nice head, without much lace, plenty of pleasantries about the palate too, very rich and full.

Dec 20, 2008 Bomber. Light gold with a froathy head flavors are sweet tangerine and pineapple with a nice lingering finish.

Sep 24, 2008 (Draught) Pours cloudy glowing orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma of orange peel, mango, and florals. Flavor of hops (floral, herbal, citrus) and bready caramel malt with a bitter finish.

Sep 21, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, amberish body with a smallish, off-white head.
Smell: Slightly sweetish caramel and toffee nose with a layer of spicy-scented hoppiness lurking underneath.
Taste: Caramel and toffee-flavored maltiness with a minor hint of pre-packaged cookie dough. Floral, spicy hops, maybe a touch of citrus, too, and with moderate bitterness. Finishes with a light, lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Fairly decent drinkability -- it’s plenty hoppy, but, thankfully, there is no caustic, tongue-crippling bitterness.

Sep 20, 2008 My favorite of the day: Pours a bright hazey orange with a large white head. Aroma is floral, strong of grapefruit and lemons. Taste is nice and hoppy with generous amounts of citrus fruit, fresh hops and earth.

Sep 14, 2008 22oz bottle. Thanks to Badbeer. Pours amber with a moderate size, offwhite head, specks of lace. Smells resiny hoppy and dark citrusy, mellow not overpowering. Tastes resiny hoppy and sweet, very sweet. Some dark citrus. Full body, weak carbonation.

Sep 13, 2008 Pours a deep reddish/orange with a small head - low in carbonation. Strong hop aroma dominates the malts. First sip is bitter and hoppy. Not too bad as this is a worthy is DIPA.
