argo0 (6284), Washington DC, USA Jul 2, 2003 Clear light orange body with minimal head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, and a hint of rye. Taste is much the same, but also with noticeable alcohol. Medium/full body. Not sure what the other raters saw, but one possibility is that, if in fact it's really a winter seasonal, perhaps it's been on tap all this time and the flavor's been lost. muzzlehatch (4429), Burlington, USA Jan 1, 2004 Light and honeyish, some lacing. Caramel nose, slightly astringent; some detergent? Yum. More character than most of the others, though that doesn't say much. Where's the rye? JPDIPSO (4344), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Feb 24, 2003 Clean light copper color with a small but stable beige head. Aroma of sweet munich malt and light honey. Frim with a slightly oily feel. Clean malt flavors with a balanced floral hops flavor. A pleasent brew. heemer77 (3827), Savannah, Missouri, USA Oct 22, 2006 The body poured with a hazy dark gold and orange color. The aroma was a little rye with some carrots and a little bit of honey. The taste was sweet rye bread with some honey. There was also some nasty apple cor ein the finish. badgerben (3234), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Oct 22, 2005 Copper color wtih no head. Aroma is a little hard to pin down: Apple? Pumpkin? Taste has a bit of bitter rye to it, but not much else.
