Aroma is lemon, musty yeast, light malt. Taste is lemon, musty yeast, light malt/wheat, some herbal. Mild carbonation. Enjoyable. The_Beer_God (2827), Newport News, Virginia, USA Aug 8, 2008 Bottle at the Williamsburg Gathering courtesy of LooseCannon. Hazy golden blonde pour. Small white head. Nose is very grainy with soft lemon, yeast and spice. Taste is soft wheat flavors, semi-sweet malts, dried fruit, light lemon and yeast. Rather tasty! Body is light and refreshing with a pleasant effervescence. Ends with more grains and wheat, soft lemon, yeast and spices. Bit better than most Belgian wits I’ve had. MrBunn (826), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light and hazy gold with a large and dense white head. Aromas and flavors are fairly typical... lemon, grass, wheat, yeast... although the wheat presence seems to come through stroger than in other wits, yielding to a bit of a citrus aftertaste/finish. Fairly light and refreshing. jhumphries69 (507), Tyrone, Georgia, USA Aug 7, 2008 Draft at Taco Mac (served with a lemon wedge - WTF?). Pours cloudy and light yellow in color with a thin, almost non-existent head (typical Taco Mac pour). Aroma is light with some wheat, some citrus, and some interesting yeast character. The flavor is decent and refreshing - some citrus, a little less wheat and a little more ester character than others of this style (though less yeasty than Unibroue’s). The mouthfeel is medium in body - not as velvety as others (maybe they use less oats in this one). Overall, a very drinkable and decent beer, but overpriced ($7/pint at Taco Mac!). I’d rather have a Hoegaarden or an Allagash wit...
