TheBeerGod (2874), Newport News, Virginia, USA Aug 8, 2008 Bottle at the Williamsburg Gathering courtesy of LooseCannon. Hazy golden blonde pour. Small white head. Nose is very grainy with soft lemon, yeast and spice. Taste is soft wheat flavors, semi-sweet malts, dried fruit, light lemon and yeast. Rather tasty! Body is light and refreshing with a pleasant effervescence. Ends with more grains and wheat, soft lemon, yeast and spices. Bit better than most Belgian wits I’ve had.
corby112 (314), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 3, 2008 Pours a cloudy golden-yellow color with a thick creamy white head. Spicy aroma of citrus peel, lemon zest and slight earthy hop presence. Spicy flavor with hints of lemon zest, citrus fruit peel, grapefruit and a slight dry, sour finish. LinusStick (1596), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 30, 2008 Very nice witbier. Love this style. Aroma was decent. Yeast, wheat and some citrus. Pour was fantastic. LIghtest beer I’ve seen all year! Cloudy off white with a nice 2 finger white head.Taste was nice also. Light bread and yeast with corriander and orange peal with a tangy wheaty aftertatse. Nice carbonation with a peppery spicy aftertaste (though not very strong). 17thfloor (807), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 30, 2008 Pours a nice light cloudy yellow with a tall thick creamy white head. Sour wheat aroma, light yeast, some hay, and hint of lemon. Really yeasty wit beer, earthy, bready, malty and lightly grassy. Interesting spiced chalky bitterness. Some candi malt and orange peel, really creamy. Tastes like a lemon shortbread cream filled cookie. Medium body with a fuller chalky mouthful but still has that crisp wit carbonation. PorterPounder (2880), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Nov 29, 2008 Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse, 11.2 oz bottle. Hazy, light yellow appearance with a spritzy white head that sticks around. Refreshing lemony and yeasty aroma. Some lemony accents in the flavor, some yeast, and some spice - coriander comes to mind. Sticky mouthfeel. Decent wit jredmond (633), New Jersey, USA Oct 26, 2008 11.2 oz bottle. Pours a light, hazy orange with white head. Skunky smell - never experienced this with a witbier before. The taste is great - smooth, refreshing, and tasty.
