| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 20, 2009 This draft brew from a beer bar poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation black colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was dark malt. The thin smooth mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt and dark malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again. Fratto (763), Arlington, Texas, USA

I’m a guinness fan: solid, dependable, it’s Guinness. This brew, not so much. Subpar compared to the regular brew. Shame on you Diageo! soapbox (17), Alabama, USA
| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Sep 19, 2009 This beer is a complete failure for me. How can a respected brewery like Guinness just put some dark coloring in regular Budweiser and call it a celebration of 250 years? tiffanya (45), Federal Way, Washington, USA

Coffee and chocolate roasty malts, with hints of caramel and nuts. Light mouthfeel. Semi-dry finish. Quite sessionable. bluevegie (2222), Perth, Australia
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 18, 2009 Black body with medium lasting off-white head. Light roasted malt in the aroma, similar in the taste, fairly dry and a bit astringent also some coffee and some ash. neepsntatties (350), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 18, 2009 Had this on tap this evening at The Horse Brass pub in Portland OR. Colour... classic Guinness colour of black with a thick off white head. Nose... not much, though some roasty malt. Palate... loads of C02, some tangy roasted malt, then its gone! Don’t really like the regular, but the reg. is far superior to this concoction! One would think, if it’s your 250th, you’d put more effort into the beer!! Think I’ll stick with Beamish as my, "go to/made in Ireland" Irish stout. Slainte!
