Why make this beer? It’s so similar to the Guinness you can get every damn day but without the cascading from the nitrogen.
I’ve had a lot of Guinness and I enjoy it but this beer is pointless.

A borderline light and refreshing stout - never thought I’d say that... Not bad, but I’m a bit disappointed for their 250th anniversary... why not something crazy like an impy stout or something? maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2009 Bottle. Pours pitch black in color with a smallish, lively cocoa brown head. The aroma is roasted coffee with a touch of sweetened cocoa. Upon tasting, there isn’t much different from Guinness Extra Stout, aside from this version being a touch sweeter. That aside, happy birthday Guinness. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2009 roasty, bit thin, not as watery as regular guinness. not bad, but not anything to really write home about. certainly better than the original, though.
