Can taste faint notes of roasted coffee, malt, and caramel. Smooth and somewhat thinner that many. Still, a thumbs up from Montana. joshwilfong (787), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Dark brown beer beneath a nice sized frothy tan head. I love how the head builds from the bottom. Leaves great lacing on the glass. Aroma is not much to write home about. Roasted malts, mild coffee aroma, but weak and plays little to no role later on. Taste is more substantial the Guinness Draught. Roasted malts, caramel, coffee underneath. Hint of chocolate tickles the mouth. Very smooth beer for the most part, but a little over carbonated for my liking. All in all a good beer. emptylemon51 (12), Arizona, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Rich and malty. Smother than regular Guiness stout but lacking some of the classic flavor. Still a good, unique brew. Slipstream (762), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2009 I proudly wear my Guinness T-shirt, yet it is a nostalgia trip, since it has been a while since Guinness was my favorite tipple. And what have those classic Hibernians come up with here? A thin, but dark and foamy stout on first glance. Average aroma of sweet malt with a touch of skank. A fairly plain and easy stout. English biscuit and tingly hop flavors in the forefront. Pretty light, with some astringency. Some lacing - they always provide that, they have for 250 years. This is a little smoother than the other major Guinness releases, and it would be a good session brew. Hbuck72 (123), Chickasha, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Pours the usual guinness black, without the fluffy tan head. Taste is of toasted malts with coffee undertones. The taste is a bit lighter, sweeter, maybe slight apple taste? the main difference that I notice is that it is lacking the creaminess of the regular guinness fata2683 (892), Panama City, Florida, USA

Aroma is roasted malt and some pine/hops. Flavor is standard guinness with a more pronounced roastedness and some lingering hop bitterness in the finish. Meh..... jr1610 (15), San Marcos, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 1, 2009 I smell Guinness with more hops. Great aroma. Near black with a beige head that surprisingly goes away. Not much lace. Tastes like Guinness with extra hops which I personally love. Bit more carbonated which makes it a bit lighter on taste buds but it’s still very good. Overall, I really enjoyed this beer. A toast to Guinness and it’s 250 year anniversary and to another wonderful 250 more!
