Aroma of dry roasty dark malts and a touch a dark chocolate. Starts lightly smoky and dry with the trademark lightly tart roasty finish guinness is famous for. This has more body than the regular Draught version, which is nice. Overall a pretty decent dry stout. astrofrk (219), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Flavor: Roasted coffee, malt. Bitter finish. Not bad, for a Guinness. TheBeerGod (3163), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 19, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown to near black pour with a moderate tan head. Nose is roasted malt, ashtray, burnt wood and light chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, semi-sweet chocolate, light coffee, and more smoldering/burnt wood. Body is medium but leaning towards light-medium. Carbonation us bubbly. There’s a light lingering bitterness and smokiness to it. Ends with more roasted malt, ashes, cocoa, light chocolate, watered-down coffee, and smokiness. Not too terrible but not really knocking my socks off either. Again, I think you go bigger for an anniversary beer, especially 250th. T2Tool (352), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA

Nothing special in the smell, some caramel and smoked malt. Taste of caramel, smoked malt and weak coffee. argo0 (6958), Washington DC, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 18, 2009 Draft. Black in the glass with a creamy tan head that was lasting and left good lace. Musty malt aroma. The flavor found roasted malts and nut. Medium body and a creamy texture. Like a lighter version of the regular Guinness Drought. gabbama (116), Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 18, 2009 Very dark brown with a light brown head. Toasted aroma of chocolate and nuts. Watery but carbonated mouthfeel. Pretty good, easy to drink, but I expected a bit more for a Guinness’ 250th aniversary.
