| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jun 3, 2009 Can’t tell a difference to the draft, other than carbonation. Both are so light in flavors.
This 250th pours medium to full dark brown with off-tan head. Nose is light with roasty components and some whoppers nougat candy. Palate is light bodied with roasty flavors up front, some sweet caramel/chocolate in the middle, and a semi-sweet caramel finish. Easy drinking. derkaiser (24), Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 3, 2009 I prefer the 250th over the regular guinness. Its slight tweak just edges it over for me. Still one of the most overrated beers though. Dfonorow (31), New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 3, 2009 It pours an extremely dark caramel color, almost black, with a small foam ring of a head. It smells of barley and roasted malt. It is ashy and dry. There is not much to the aroma as it is just a basic stout. Upon tasting, I noticed how smooth it was, a very good amount of carbonation, and a hint of roasted malt. Overall, it was a very good brew for being mass manufactured around the country. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 3, 2009 Bottle, pours very dark with a tan head. Light aroma of chocolate malts. Watery, not much too speak of with this one, not the guinness is that great of a brewery but wow for a 250th anniversary, lame. The commercial description makes no sense, two types of malts, ale and stout? Anyways not a great brew, but not surprised either. marcus (1864), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 2, 2009 This dark brown ale poured with a foamy tan head and a burnt aroma. It is indeed dryer that the standard (good) guinness, and is also thinner-bodied with much less flavor. There is some chocolate and toffee with a roasty feel to it, making this a drinkable, but not excellent brew. BOLTZ7555 (1090), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Very slight cocoa, malt, and roast...perhaps a little burnt...bitter, thin, and not very good. curly (598), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Updated: Oct 15, 2009Black pour with a thick foamy tan head. Aroma is sweet caramel and roast malt. Taste is plain with a slight chalkiness from the fizzy carbonation maybe. Not very rich like the other Guinness beers. WesKBob (321), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Pours black with a moderate tan head. Aroma is strong with roasted malts. Flavor is coffee and roasted chocolate malt. Mouthfeel is thinner and more carbonated than traditional Guinness. All in all, it’s a prety run-of-the-mill stout.
