draft had a dark brown color with some ruby highlights. aroma has malt, chocolate, and some bitterness. flavor is a little thin, low level roasted malt, chocolate, and grains. seems to me to be a toned down version.

Draft. Black but looks thin with some macro looking bubbles that passes for a head. Nose-that Guinness nose but you really have to hunt for it. Taste comes off with very light malts and some chocolate. VERY thin body and almost tasteless. This is Guinness Light. Horrible considering the ancestry...

12 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with an off white head. The aroma is dark malt that has a mild roasted quality, chocolate and some dark fruits. The flavor is roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark fruits, and burnt toast. The flavor is better than the nitro Guinness draught versions. Medium bodied and smooth. Decent enough alternative if I was out on the town.

Draft… Pours clear and midnight dark with a crimson hue around the edges of the glass and a small, fizzy, off-white head. Restrained, roasty aroma provides subtle notes of blackstrap molasses and charcoal. Medium-bodied, but fairly thin with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is very well-balanced and not nearly as acrid, burnt or bitter as regular American Guinness Draught. Finishes kind of crisp and clean.

Coffee dust and chocolate nose. Blackish brown color with medium loose foam head that lasted awhile. Some chocolate sweetness, decent balance with a coffee ground bitterness. Heavily carbonated, maybe too much, medium body, slightly crisp and clean finish. Lacked some richness and complexity, but good basic flavors, almost a refreshing Stout.

Bottle from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours black with a decent tan head. Aromas of lighter fruits and darker malts. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is dark toasted malt and mild fruit, with chocolate and coffee. Finishes neither sweet nor bitter. Relatively dry. A big improvement over the 125 calorie stuff.

Bottle. Pours black but clear around the edges. Messy big dark beige headthat recedesto a thin layer. Smells creamy and greasy like Guinness but sweeter and more metallic. Mild coffee and chocolate. Much thinner palate; watery, even. More malty/grainy, sweeter, and perhaps more salty than the regular. Dry finish. I don’t quite see the point.
