| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Opaque black with a nice foamy tan head. Smells lighter than it looks, with some grainy cereal malts that have a nice hop freshness to them. Starts off dark and malty, with some light roast. The barley takes over and things get a little sweeter, but not for long. A slightly bitter hop finish comes through, but it’s a bit too much and throws the smoothness off. There’s also a weird medicinal taste on the finish, kind of like aspirin. Not as sessionable as the regular. Medium-bodied and slick, with some fizzy carbonation. Not bad, but I don’t need to have this one for another 250 years. cstuartj (316), Washington, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 30, 2009 Very dark brown with a slight red tint; not quite black. Malty with tastes of dusty chocolate. Kind of boring, but solid and very drinkable. scooterbub (380), Lander, Wyoming, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark black with a decent tan head that slowly fades. Taste is of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, some smoke and some hops. Nice bitterness in the finish. Nice malt aroma. Similar to the normal Guinness, but with more flavor, not as drinkable, and the head is not as nice. kwoeltje (1321), Manchester, Missouri, USA

Well Bon provided the bottle and I told my wife to get me something but not to show me the bottle. I knew it was one of six stouts in the fridge but.....you get the picture. medium plus bodies and pours a photon eating stout. Chewy choco-maltiness. some cereal in the biting nose. Finish is dry and fast. A nice stout. TheBeerOrg (1577), Kentucky, USA
