| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Jan 2, 2010 Aroma of an Irish stout sweet and some meltal warehouse aroma. Black body with tan head. Flavor had some coffee grain to it. But mainly just a thin sweet over carbinated for my palate anyway. Glad my brother was with me to dring the other half of bottle Dacrza (256), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA

Glassware: Guinness tulip...
Appearance: like any other Guinness--jet black, formal for the evening, with a milky brown head...
Aroma: lactic, milky with a smoke that somehow cohabitates into an awakening of cocoa...
Palate: soft, creamy body that stands with enough backbone to flourish at the throat--smooth across the tongue with a fortified aftertaste...
Taste: velvet milkiness with a complexity unexpected--hops and malts are in a whirl of enjoyment...
Overall: A celebration of all that a stout should be--dry, creamy, yet warming, invigorating, a pint that needs to be refilled...

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 30, 2009 On draft. Pours a very dark brown, with a little head that leaves quickly, and some lacing. The taste is dark malt, bready, with a hint of bitter chocolate. Best guinness I have had. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (roasted/burnt grain, husks, coffee), with a note of tar. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Just another watery, husky version, similar to the regular draught version. TheGent (169), , Massachusetts, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Got a good deal on a 6-pack of this. Wasn’t sure what to expect from this since guinness is so definitive. Much more ale qualities to this than i expected. Some metal and barnyard aromas to go along with the classic burnt malt. You expected dark color with foaming head. Taste was bitter and a little like tin and hay. Guinnessman (94), VACAVILLE, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Not as good as the the draught I’m used to, but still a good stout. Better than Murphy’s. I had this one on tap in SF, and the Irish bartender warned us ahead of time that it did not taste like what we might think. Still a good brew, though. WLG423 (86), Connecticut, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Appearance is rather different from traditional draught Guinness. Head is more of a dusting than a creamy layer. Aroma is still nice and toasty. Carbonation is rather agrressive at first, but settles out quickly. Body is rather thin and disappoints a bit. Malty toasty flavor continues from the aroma nicely. Finishes out quickly. Ok, but not as good as regular Guinness. oteyj (820), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Black pour with reddish tints when held up to the light. Head is off white and frothy. Aroma has subtle lactic qualities, oatmeal, some roast, and mocha. Flavor is light roasted barley, chocolate, and further notes of creaminess. Palate is a tad thin, making for a thoroughly session-able brew. Not spectacular, but tasty and enjoyable.
