BillWyce (90), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 26, 2009 Pours black with a bone white head (after, of course, that famous "cascade"). Smooth and creamy palate. Light aroma, but a
nice chocolatey taste with an underlying malt sweetness. dimenhetfield (157), , Florida, USA Sep 26, 2009 Incredibly light and smooth. Not too much going on with the aroma or flavor. Has hints of chocolate, toffee, and coffee bean. The settling in the glass is something to truly behold. rosenbergh (843), Helsinki, Finland Sep 23, 2009 440 ml can. Malmö, Sweden.
Pitch black colour with medium-size tan creamy head. Mild roasted maltiness and hints of coffee in aroma. Flavour is roasted, dry with hints of coffee and tiny hints of bitter hops. Not so smooth as the one with higher ABV. nobadbeer (4), centerville,, Ohio, USA does not count Sep 22, 2009 Incredibly disappointing. It was like drinking watered down beer.
I drank two to make sure something wasn’t wrong with the first one.
For the brewer’s sake, I hope I bought a bad six pack at the grocery store andersand (271), Malmö, Sweden Jul 14, 2009 Entered to celebrate my rating 180. Dark dark brown with a small but dense light beige head and some lazing, looks sort of like a traditional imperial stout aged a decade too long. Aroma is very mild of burnt caramell and metal. Mouthfeel is smooth. Flavour is less interesting than the aroma with sweet, light roasted flavour and a good dose of "can taste". The beer finishes dry with a lingering sweetness. jaghana (90), Strasbourg, France Jul 13, 2009 Can 50cl. Dark stout very creamy with a small and deep head. Nice beer with rosted malt aroma.Very nice stout, pleasant, one of my favorite beer easy to drink. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Jul 12, 2009 Can 44cl. @ home. [ Trade by Maria ]. Clear dark red brown color with a large, creamy, good - excellent lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090519] Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Feb 1, 2009 It is black with a red hue and a very lasting, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, light smoke, licorice and chocolate. The flavour is quite like a thin Guinness, but that is what it is. It has notes of roasted malt, light smoke, licorice and chocolate. It is very uncomplicated to drink.
