Warning, Guinness isn’t for everyone. But it’s for me... When I first drank this beer some 10 years ago I hated it. It poured like motor oil and it tasted so different. Key word, it tasted. I wasn’t use to taste. I was use to watered down barpark brews. Once I truly understood beer, I fell in love. This beer is great in sauces and taste great with red meat. Bottles are good but on tap is awesome. This isn’t a "pounding" beer, it’s a relaxing beer. Enjoy it!!

I’m with tylerss20. This beer kinda served as a gateway beer for me. After trying and liking this beer, I began straying from the buds and millers to find something that I liked as much as Guinness. Granted, it wasnt very hard, but this is always a good drink. I’ll spare the description because, if you are on this site, I’m sure you have tried it yourself.

For a macro brewed beer, this is possibly one of the best beers out there. It looks and pours like a great stout should. The flavor is rich and balanced. Not as good as some of the other craft stouts out there, but definitely worth the purchase. Yes, I would buy it again.

Not as thick as some other stouts, probably leading to its mass appeal. Personally, I prefer a little more there. The stout by which most other are judged due to its availability.

I have very mixed emotions about this beer, for the reason that it was the first beer I ever tried that really challenged my pallet. Up to that point (19 years old) I had been stuck in the beer purgatory of B-M-C, with the occasional Rolling Rock or Corona. Since my foray into stranger, more aggressive brews, I’ve gained an appreciation for this one and other beers of that ilk. Dark pour and creamy white crown. Thick silty headiness to the taste, bitterness. Filling. It’s a solid brew, but I have never gotten past the memory of my initial beer culture shock.

Bottle and Tap. What can I say that hasn’t been said. A true standard around the world! God love it!

Great stuff, thick and heady. Obviously the best off of a tap. I can only drink about two though before my stomach begins to feel really full.
