Thank goodness when you go out with friends who pick bars that only serve piss water that at least guinness is usually on tap. It is quite watery, I find the creamy head annoying. Some roasted stuff in the taste.

Draught. Not the beer it was. Seems to have lost that bitter, burnt after-taste of yore. Given its ubiquity, it’s a decent fall-back option if there’s nothing you particularly fancy on offer. Nice dark colour with suspiciously consistent creamy head - there’s enough nitrogen in there to possibly induce decompression sickness.

A great looking "stout" that left me diappointed with its weak flavor. It’s really strange, you expect some good robust flavors after seeing the color, but are left with some really pale taste. It’s creamy head is one of the highlights, and that’s not really saying much. Very watery, actually. The real mystery to me is how this rates higher than Guinness Extra Stout, which is an actual stout, unlike this. Decent, but not at all preferred. Get the Extra Stout if you must get a Guinness.

On-tap at Surf & Saddle in Solana. Pours dark brown/black with a huge, ultra creamy, tan head. Sheet lace down the entire glass. Smells subdued roasty malty. Tastes roasty malty. Thin body, smooth carbonation.

Blackish color with light frothy tan head. Roasted aroma. Very smooth and medium bodied. Chocolate hints with coffee with a touch of sweetness. Lingering malt with a tad bit of bitterness.

Pours dark, thick head once it settles. Slightly burnt aroma. Strong burnt taste, slightly hoppy, malt comes through quite a bit. Somewhat watery, I wouldn’t consider this a heavy beer at all. The finish is always a bit off. It has a unique flavor though, definitely wouldn’t pass one up.

Bottle poured in to glass. Wonderful reverse cascade of browns, tans, and creams as a nice head froths up while pouring. Once the cascade is done the brew settles out to a rich black an full tan 2 fingered head. Overall a good stout.

Bottle. Great looking beer when poured correctly dark color contrasts perfectly with thick white head. Creamy beer with tastes of chocolate, and for me an overwhelming coffee taste. I know a lot of people really like this beer, but it just does not do it for me. I did make the mistake of drinking it straight from the bottle, and I should probably give it another chance on tap.
