One of the good mass-produced beers out there. Lives up to all the hype in my book. The appearance is a perfect dark color, with a rich creamy head that extends up quite a bit. Smells fantastic, and the flavor is rich and full of depth. I find the palate to have a great aftertaste and still retains a nice stiff bite at the end. Thicker, but not extremely filling. And of course, one of the best out of the can tastes there is.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. Pours a very dark brown with tan head and some lacing. This beer has a nice creamy body. The taste is roasted barley, some chocolate, and a dry aftertaste.

The Black Stuff!! One of the best stouts in the world. A creamy head and notes of coffee, liquorice and chocolate. But go to Ireland if you want to experience a "real" pint of Guinness :) It’s much more creamy and tasteful over there!

can with gadget, Tesco Pont-y-pool. Deep black colour, mid-sized, very persistent head. Light-boided, lacking a malty base, rather dry but still flavour-packed.

12oz bottle and on tap (nitro). Poured a nice creamy two finger head that lasted about halfway. It had a light, roasty smell. The taste starts out smooth and creamy before it becomes slightly acidic and finishes with a refreshing hoppiness. This beer has a lighter mouthfeel than most stouts and porters, but it is very creamy and satisfying. A very drinkable stout with a refreshing finish that is dry and hoppy,

Guinness outside of Ireland doesn’t taste anywhere near as good as it does on the island...

Tap. Pours with the trademark thick persistent head. Not much going on with the nose. Vague hints of roasted flavours make it through, but burnt flavours dominate with a mild bitterness in the finish. Not as thick as you’d expect from its appearance, and very soft carbonation.

TAP: beautiful black nitro pour with a big white fluffy head. Nose is slightly toasty / burnt. Mouthfeel is very thin. Taste is dry roast, slightly dry, and few other flavors.

500ml can. Dark brown to black in colour with a creamy tan head. Dry burnt malt aroma and a bit bland compared to some of the craft brewed stouts. Dry burnt flavours dominate and it is a little thin.
