Beautiful dark reddish color with great head. Burnt malt and coffee flavor. No sweetness but bitter chocolade and slightly watery.

Bottle. Black colour with a huge mostly lasting creamy light brown head. Aroma and taste of roasted malts, coffee and bitter chocolate. Nice beer.

This beer is one delicous brew! Nice dark black-brown appearance with a nice big head that leaves lotsa lace, and a killer taste that has that little extra kick to it!

(Bottle from Swedish Systembolaget) Chocolate aroma, sweet as well. Look is black with a brown head, lasts long. Taste is sweet chocolate, but no surprises or anything interesting. Pretty much plain boring and sweet..

Courtesy of oh6gdx. Thanks, Pat. Aroma is roasty and (to my suprise) slightly smoky, smelling a bit like a freshly stamped campfire still covered in settling dirt and dust. Body is flat black and holds a mostly lasting thumb thick tan head. Tastes thinner than the Guinness brewed in Canada and has some of that slight smoke in the flavor echoing the smell in the aroma. Lacks some of the dark fruit notes in the American version as well. Drier and more abrupt in the finish.

one of the three beers I found on a new liquor store. I expected it to be better. A bit light and watery but the taste is pretty good.

Lightweight and watery compared to many stouts from micro brewers - despite this being "the original". Some coffee taste, but rather boring.
