| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 13, 2009 Bottled. Very dark ruby coloured beer with a huge rocky head. The nose is quite faint. It has sweetish maltiness, some roastedness, a hint of hops and tar. Aromas are bread-like toasted dark malts and light hops in the finish with sof coffee and dark chocolate. The flavor is dryish malty and quite roasted. The finish is bitterish and burned, that is almost solventy combination. The palate is soft and quite creamy, but a bit thin. ogreface (325), Budapest, Hungary

Still a classic even after tampering with the recipe. Just enough bitterness and chocolate to make it interesting. Still looks and smells like Guiness. altonbrownd (1941), Amsterdam, Netherlands
