| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 9, 2009 Pours a deep dark color with a decent tan head that laces the glass nicely. Aroma is a little malty and coffeeish. Flavor is mostly just bitter, though the roasted malts are somewhat noticeable. Considering all of the better available stouts out there, I didn’t care much for this. Nebulor (109), , California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 8, 2009 I’m not sure if this is the right one, this is brewed in New Brunswick, Canada.
Minimal roasted malt and a hint of molasses and caramel smell with a minimal aroma of coffee and maybe dark chocolate. Some citrus esters in the hop aroma.
Pours a black coffee color with a hint of an amber hue. The tannish and fizzy head dissipated within minutes, there was some sediment in the bottle.
Lightly sweet, acidic, and bitter roasted/burnt malt taste with flavors of dark chocolate and coffee. There are some esters in the hops flavor such as maybe orange.
Full bodied, almost creamy and slightly resinous texture, soft almost flat carbonation, and a metallic and slightly astringent finish.
This is drinkable, has a slight sour astringency. mickjay77 (15), Amarillo, Texas, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Bottle. Not nearly as satisfying to me as a Gunness Draught from a widget can or on tap. It is an OK stout but there are so many better options. Cavie (1384), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
