The nitrogen in the draft kills most of the interesting flavors that exist in the extra stout. It pours a dark black with a tan head that leaves decent lacing. Hints of coffee in the flavor with malt dominating. Avatar (82), Gliwice, Poland

But it’s imported by DIAGEO from Canada. And another ’but’: on label it’ writen that it’s produced by Guinness Brewing Company in New Brunswick, Canada - not London. I’m confused with all those versions, can someone help? NeoHippie2 (173), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 16, 2008 Pretty good dry stout. Lots of roasted malts on the palate with some coffee. Roasted, not too intensely bitter and a dry finish. Pretty good brew, wouldnt pick it over the draught, but if selection was limited id go with this one and not be unhappy about it. Earlier Rating: 12/6/2007 Total Score: 4 Pours very nicely with a rich creamy head. Best served very very cold. i have found that the warmer this brew gets the more intense the stoutness becomes. Excellent roasted flavor and bitter finish. BigBang (211), Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 12, 2008 Decent dry stout and pretty reliable. I don’t have a whole lot to add beyond what has been noted here - roasty, slightly bitter, not very sweet. Not a top choice by any stretch but is a decent alternative when selection is limited. jake65 (1698), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 4, 2008 Bottle: Pours a deep brown with a large, frothy tan head. Nose is rather hoppy with light cocoa and some roastiness. Tastes more roasty and dark chocolate based. Some light bitters with plenty of roastiness and a little molasses. Thinner on the body, but a decent brew. Earlier Rating: 4/4/2006 Total Score: 3.9 Definite flavor present here. Coffee and chocolate tones, malts, roastiness, and a nice balanced amount of hops. Color is dark brown/blackish and thick. Finished with a nice bitterness, but overall is very smooth. carruthm (1127), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 2, 2008 Poured from 12oz bottle a dark brown black with a large frothy tan head that left blotchy legs as the foam receded. Nose of a tart roast grain rises through the foam. The flavor goes much the same with a mild tartness leading to a roasted smooth grain with a touch of ash or smokiness, coffee, and a very light caramel without any sweetness. The palate is dry, tart, and mildly bitter. A sipping beer to be sure but easy to drink. azlondon (662), Fribourg, Switzerland
