Much thicker, creamier palate than standard Guinness draft. Tastes fuller as well. Again, there are better stouts out there, but this one was pretty damn good. vanrassel (30), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Solid molasses and roasted malt flavour that yields to a grainy dry finish. It sounds curmudgeonly, but I remember this beer being better even a few years ago. realbama (35), Birmingham, Alabama, USA

It tastes good enough though. If I had my choice, I would go for the regular Guinness. Its a good beer. GMCC2181 (858), Bear/Elkton, Delaware, USA

Not much aroma but some roasted malt. Taste is roasted malt, with a thin texture overall a solid beer that reminded me of my days in England drinking guinness..... A gateway beer for young stouties! Chocolate and coffee in the taste. Medium-bodied, slightly creamy mouth feel. Very mild carbonation. Finishes with a strong bitter bite. Basically, the more you drink it, the more you’ll love it. A godly beer, one of the best macros around. IPAaLLtHEwAY (136), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 30, 2008 Pours a opaque ebony. The head was more cream colored unlike guinness draught’s white head. The smell is espresso like with a strong malty aroma. The taste is slightly chocolatly with a vanilla/french roast bite. The finish was dry and harsh with a bitter hop aftertaste. Carbonation was a bit heavy. All in alltruely a fine mass produced stout. A nice note of coffee flavor, and it has a noticeable bitterness to it.
