Nice dark roasted malt nose but not much else. Cool and light on the tongue but with a nice body to it. Again solid roasted malts in the taste but not much else. Good and solid beer with a nice lingering finish but not much depth. fonefan (11313), VestJylland, Denmark

I remember the first time I tasted this; it tasted like motor oil. Since then, I have learned to love it, and it is a well-earned treat! phishpond417 (1935), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 11, 2008 After pouring a tan head formed, which lasted a minute or so. It tastes like chocolate, coffee, and slightly like dirt, but not in a bad way. MrBeerFanatic (357), jamestown, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2008 A decent stout. Not even close to the top of my list of favorite stouts though. Weak in depth and flavor for a stout. There are notes of coffee and a light smokiness with a slight bitter end.
