Aroma was tought to grab as I wasn’t getting much of a scent from it - light roast. Flavor is bitter chocolate with a creamy mouthfeel. Not bad at all... billtheman (50), milford, Delaware, USA

When Iireland created this brew it was a great day for the Irish. Very good aroma, appearance is nice and dark, the flavor is terrific with a good aftertaste on the palate, I have to rate this very high. This goes o so good with Corned beef sandwiches, Rebuens, Hamburgers and fish of all kinds. Earlier Rating: 3/17/2008 Total Score: 4.2 Faith and Begor what a better day to rate Guinness Extra Stout then on St Pattys day. This is a great beer when your in the mood for a full bodied tasting beer. Goes super good with cornedbeef sandwiches, Rebuens, hamburgers etc. The day Guinness came out with this brew was a great day for the Irish! Hopdup (71), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 17, 2008 Very dark pour, with a deep red tint if held to the light. The head is thick, tan, and lumpy with lacing. Smell of malt and a hint of apple. The taste of bitter coffee, a little dry for my taste. Maverick34 (700), New York, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 16, 2008 This pours a dark, almost black color with a tan, frothy head. There’s not much aroma, just a very mild roasted malt scent. The taste isn’t bad, an earthy, coffee, and malt flavor. Not much hopping. Fairly average stout. kurtkosher (144), USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 14, 2008 A pretty decent copy from Canada. You can find this product almost anywhere.
Very dark almost black. Semi-sweet flavors of chocolate, coffee, dark roasted malt. A long, dry, bitter finish.
I would like to try the real deal sometime in Ireland. HonkeyBra (1332), Lemont, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Pours black with a nice tan head. Nose is malt with some chocolate and coffee notes. Dry, roasty flavor with some hops and a touch of alcohol in the nice dry finish. Bottle says it’s brewed in Canada, not as good as the authentic stuff in Ireland. However, it’s a suitable substitute.
