Simply resembles the other products but a little less liveliness compared to the nitro taps. Still a solid, classic stout. pumpmaster (477), Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA

Roasted chocolate head, deeper flavor than the nitro. I’ll stick with other stouts over this, but it is a good, solid, ubiquitous beer. philfish (14), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Pours black with a thick, foamy tan head. Aroma is light and woody, not very strong. Mouth-feel is very much like that of Guinness draught. Thick and smooth. Taste is bittersweet with hints of coffee and deep roasted malts. ShawnMalloy (119), Auburn, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2007 Pours a blackish brown with a thick, light brown head. Mildly skunky aroma. Medium texture. Good amount of carbonation. Tastes like Newcastle Brown Ale with a more coffee and caramel finish. jlf278 (254), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Nov 27, 2007 22 oz. bottle pours dark brown, certainly not black, but mostly opaque. Head is abundant and attractive with a slight deepening in hue where beer was poured. Head lasts and lasts. Aroma is chocolate, burnt candy and coffee, mild. Flavor is much the same, but not very sweet. Bitterness comes out and shines, with a deep, dark, satisfying taste I was surprised to find in a north american guinness. Palate was pretty blah, the only real disappointment here, watery and unrefined. I’ve heard ’guinness is the beer you eat with a fork’ yeah...right, so I better get a steak knife for my expedition then!
