Aroma is very faint but comes through a little malty and roasty. Flavor equally light but has a more pronounced maltiness and roastiness. Lightly bitter overall with a dry finish. I suppose one could drink many of these with no ill effects. emerica56 (581), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 1, 2007 This beer pours a nice thick chocolate color head which happens to be very creamy. It has a dark color to it and a smell of cream. As you drink it the beer is very smooth and creamy. It leaves a nice sweet flavor in your mouth. MadIndian (994), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Bottle from neighbors crappy collection. They know I like dark beers so I guess they thought they were doing me a favor. I will keep it simple. It’s ok. Thick body a mild roast coffee flavor. Not one of my favorite stouts(see Three Floyds, Bells, Ale Smith or Goose Island) brianjames1 (322), Northridge, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 26, 2007 Updated: Nov 18, 2007Pours a dark coffee brown from bottle, making an impressive, lingering head even without nitro widget. Nose is simple: roasted coffee with the tiniest hint of sourness. Smooth mouthfeel with sharp but not unpleasing sourness on tongue. Big roasty flavor dominates clean finish (sourness still lurking in the background). Seems to have a tad more alcohol character than the 5% rating indicates. I prefer this to all other versions of Guinness in bottles or cans I have tried in USA, although hand-pulled is still the way to go. joverton85 (80), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 26, 2007 classic guinness extra stout. poured deep dark brown, almost black. nice head but faded quickly. i prefer this over the regular guineess. the flavor seems to me a little more complex. drfabulous (1238), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 23, 2007 For creamy stouts, this is the only one. Like chocolate milk. But you can only get it in can or on draft. Nothing is worse than Guinness in a bottle. What a shame to pop open that bottle and see nothing but flat beer.
