Pours a deep black with a small darkish tan head that quickly disappears. Aromas of light toasted malt with hints of coffee. Very thin mouthfeel. Seems overly carbonated. Very subdued, lifeless flavor of toasted malt and light hops. Weak bitter finish with lingering coffee tastes. Just an OK beer. Greatly prefer the Draught version over this. purduebacchus (39), USA

The flavour is very bitter and metallic. In fact, it has a very overpowering metallic taste both while drinking and afterwards. The texture is pretty thin. It’s a good stout, but it’s not the best. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 10/20 | May 8, 2007 Pours as dark as CocaCola. I have to say I love love love the flavor of this beer, but cant stand the aftertaste. It is at times unbearably burnt bitter tastng, but then again I’ve drank a few that went down perfectly smooth. The ones I’ve drank that had a smooth aftertaste I would rate a perfect 5. DrHomolka (728), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Pours dark brown/light black with a light brown head. Aroma is that Guinness smell - roasty, bitter, chocolate with the chocolate being more pronounced. Taste is dry, creamy, watery, roasty, with a bitter chocolate finish. More flavorful and better than regular Guinness. Still, there are plenty of other stouts/dry stouts I would get over this. Compares with beers twice its price. You cannot see through the glass that this is in. Bright white foamy head. RCL (1473), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 1, 2007 Aroma and flavor have hints of molasses with a little nuttiness underlying. Definitely has more oomph than the draft, taste-wise. It’s Guinness, what the hell more can you say? You’ve tasted it! We’ve all tasted it!
