jake65 (1273), Meridian, Idaho, USA Jul 4, 2008 Bottle: Pours a deep brown with a large, frothy tan head. Nose is rather hoppy with light cocoa and some roastiness. Tastes more roasty and dark chocolate based. Some light bitters with plenty of roastiness and a little molasses. Thinner on the body, but a decent brew.
Paul150 (20), , Georgia, USA Oct 5, 2008 Pours a dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is very malty and nutty. Taste is of roasted malts and coffee up front with slight bitterness towards the back. The carbonation is alright, but nowhere near the mouthfeel of regular Guinness on a nitrogen tab. Still a good and decently drinkable beer. mattwix (5), Arizona, USA does not count Oct 5, 2008 Updated: Oct 7, 2008I’ve enjoyed this beer many, many times! It’s the best of all "Guinness" products available in N. America, regardless of whether it’s brewed in Dublin or eh? Canada? alexsdad06 (662), Ohio, USA Oct 4, 2008 Bottled. Pours a very dark brown color with a large thick tan head. Lighter aroma of roasted malt and dark chocolate. The flavor is lighter biscuity malt, some roast, dark chocolate. This is lighter in body and has a dry slightly bitter finish. fidel (205), Livermore, California, USA Sep 29, 2008 Dark brown, roasted malts, little coffee, little hoppy, slight sour, dry finish. wilderthanyou (322), Guelph, Ontario, Canada Sep 28, 2008 Pours a motor oil black with a beige frothy head. Aroma is roasted malts, and light coffee notes, pretty mild and uninteresting. Flavour is mild to begin with, but as the beer washes to the back of the mouth the flavour opens up with roasted malts, barley, and coffee. Finishes on a unsweetened chocolate note.
