| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a creamy light tan head that leaves behind good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a roasted sweet malt with raisin. Thin mouthfeel with a very sweet malt taste with a nice dry finish. A lot sweeter than the US version. A very good foreign stout from PLC. douglas88 (1683), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 29, 2009 275 ml bottle with a big thanks to unclemattie for this beer. 6.5 % alcohol made in Jamaica. A cool shape to the bottle smaller than usual. Pours a pure black color with a medium light brown head. A huge sour mash aroma pipes out; roasted malts, various minerals, woody sour cherry notes. The flavor is again dominated by the unique sour mash and Guinness’ roasted malts. Very tart and deep, copper and iron. The mouthfeel was a it disappointing, just a medium fizzyness. Overall, a beer I liked a lot, and I really love Guinness FES. I’ve now had the Belgian, Nigerian, and Irish versions along with this Jamaican one. The Belgian one is hands down the best, but I love them all. SudsMcDuff (1762), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 17, 2009 275mL bottle from Jamaica. Best before: November 2009. Slightly different label than that in the picture. Pours a very dark mahogany with a creamy dark khaki head. Aroma is fairly similar to the standard North American Extra Stout, only with the added presence of cocoa and vanilla beans. More body than the North American Extra Stout too. Starts off sweet with cocoa and vanilla beans. Roasty malts, coffee, and a toasty nuttiness follow. Sour lemons and bitter grapefruits finish things off. There is a lingering dryness. Quite a bit better than the North American Extra Stout.
