The flavor is very smokey with a bittersweet taste. There is a kiwi fruit and sour berry backbone. This was very different from your other standard Guinness stouts. Not the greatest but still enjoyable. TC2642 (265), Worcester, Worcestershire, England

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 16, 2004 Bottled. Fantastic aroma; sharp fresh dough, really fruitcake-like. Jet black body with a veneer of coffee coloured froth for a head. Big malt and roasty flavours in this, but the slightly sour aftertaste is a bit of a suckerpunch. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 13, 2004 Aroma consists of heavily roasted malts (coffee/chocolate) and some cream or lactic essent. Opaque black coloured with a thin brown lasting head (not as creamy as the original guinness). Taste is heavily roasted malty, coffee/chocolate, again something creamy/lactic, quite bitter and too sweet. Even fruity this stout is. The palate is quite sticky.
