Dark brown colour with some red streaks. Taste is quite muted, a little roasted coffe and some oxidation, but not much more. Unpleasant bitterness that evolves to an astringant finish. A graet dissapointment, i truely hope the draught version is much better. OStreetBrewery (100), Wellington, New Zealand
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Pours a deep black with a beige head. Aromas of bannana, a metalic astringent note and some roast grain. On the palate the bannana dominates along with some oxidative character, very little malt shows through, alittle astringency. Thankfully there is no nitro in this, however the flavours that are left and not very pleasent. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 3, 2007 Bottle, from Hamburg. 4.1 %. Pours pitch-black with soft brown edges. HEad is quite small for a Guinness - probably because of the way I poured it (too slow). Aroma is mild, but quite roasted. Low carbonation, but more than the draft version. Quite dry flavour balanced with some degree of roasted malts. Not as great as the draft, I’m afraid. estoves2 (98), Sweden

Aroma of chocolate coffee and smaller notes of smoked malt.
Flavor is mostly of roasted and smoked malt, has notes of coffee and some bread to.
Palate is dry ond smooth, very mouthfilling. onlyrocknroll (220), Cork, Ireland

Pours black with a large rocky head, much more attractive than the artificial look of nitro stout IMO. The roasted flavours are a little subdued but this beer is genuinely dry. Unfortunately the body is disappointingly thin. If you expect stouts to be big, bold and flavoursome this may disappoint but its soft elegance sold me. Wobbler (46), Ireland
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 6, 2007 I’m a big fan of this stuff. It’s got a very untrendy old manish image in Ireland. Most people who drink Guinness at home either go for those nasty nitro cans or worse those bottles. Anyway, to compare it to the the keg version (with nitrogen) it’s fizzier, oakier and (crucially) Gunniessier. It lacks the smoothness of the draught version though. garthicus (1304), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2007 Pint bottle - Pours black with fluffy head, has a slight burnt malt aroma. Smooth tasting with chocolate and malt flavours, a very enjoyable stout, totally opposite to Guinness on tap.
