Bottled. picked up at SH Jones Bicester 28-09-06. Black in colour, with a lovely smokey, woody aroma. wonderfully bitter with nice oakiness, and bitter coffee flavours, truly great beer.

Rich deep black brown with a thick creamy head. Sweat caramel coffee and candy aroma. Rich sweet caramel taffy flavor with a malty finish.

Bottle at home. Almost black - offwhite head. Funny swet vanilla aroma (koldskål). Taste: burned malts, sweet, light licorice, light hoppy. Light bitter finish.

Licorice-black snifter humming of smoky malt and booze. Psychedelic swirls of filthy tan froth. Burnt toast and mouth-filling dark chocolate. Claret-like creamy palate. More intensely bitter coffeeish roastiness than you could shake a stick at. Everything that’s great about draught Guinness, but more so.

From a nightshop in Brugge - Pours black with a thin, mostly receding foamy tan head. Aroma of smoke, pepper, and toffee. Taste is sweet, spicy malts, hints of smoke, tar, fusels, and whiskey. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a slick oily texture and lush carbonation.

I walked around the streets of Brussels drinking one of these. It was a great day and great beer. way more flavorful than any other guinness i’ve had.
