my bottle says: special export stout "the genuine guinness stout strong and dark beer brewed in ireland" the label don’t look the same (its only a circel) but the rest is unique,...(8% "special") Very dark beer like coffee, bitter taste, full yeast very nice and complex one.

Near black, thick brown and creamy head, which vanishes quite slowly, nice lace. Aroma is soft, very malty, roasted, coffee-like, sweet, creamy, somewhat sugary aroma, and has notes of licorice and alcohol. Full, softly carbonated body. Flavor is very malty, very roasty, dry, coffee-like, creamy, somewhat sweet, slightly alcoholic, warm and strong with notes of licorice. Dry and roasted long finish.

Amazing stout, lots of roasted coffee and dark chocolate biterness, some caramel and liqueur like sweetness, some dark belgian ales characteristics, full bodied smooth and creamy mouthfill, the alcohol is well hidden, a great version of guinness.

Pours deep dark brown with thick frothy head. Aroma of mocha and those little carmel/butterscotch hard candies. Flavor of slight bitter coffee. Sweet and pleasant. Smooth, creamy and sticky palate.

Iv noticed this before, however just took it for the foreign extra stout, close looking told me otherwise. The Aroma is malty with chocolate notes and somethign else which im not sure of maybe yeast. Taste is similarly typicaly stouts with a bit of a bit to it aswell, dry finish.

33cl bottle dated best before 03/08/06. Poured a dark, dark brown with red edges and a large sized light brown head. Aromas of mocha chocolate, licorice, roasted malts and a light toffee almost butterscotch. Tastes of roasted malts, dark chocolate, and dark fruits. Bitter coffee finish. Creamy and smooth body. Some lacing left on the glass. Alcohol well hidden. I wish the Guinness we get here in the states was the same as this!

Thanks to Hopdog. Pours a dark brown with some red when held to light. Small tan lacing head. Sweet chocolate and butterscotch aroma. Flavor of the same, maybe some more cocoa in the flavor and a tad bit watery.
