Finger width of beige head. Quality Belgian nose. Complex and intense. Toffee, blueberries and citrus. Strawberries and a faint trace of mint. Plums and red grapes. The aromas are very inviting. Full bodied and sweet. Once again, nice complexity with a tight focus on the fruit and berry nuances. Initial bready malt. Long and lingering palate. After the initial, it goes toward a grape and plum note. Then the dried raisins and touch grapefruit. The abv is apparent but not totally overwhelming. Good roll and solid style! scanovajr (392), Stanford, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 13, 2009 Bottle. Poured a large, frothy, off-white head with a clear, ruby colored body. Heavy malt aroma of caramel, toffee, spice and light alcohol. Grape, peach and cherry all come through in the flavor - very fruity malt flavors. Well-hidden alcohol - I would have guessed 7% or so from the palate, but the warm feeling in my throat and stomach confirms the 10.5%. Medium body with a very slight alcoholic texture and average carbonation. Overall a really drinkable and warming beer. It didn’t blow me away, but was very enjoyable. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 8, 2009 Dark yellow pour, very opaque. Light head. Sweet aroma, of Sweet Tarts. Very interesting and inventive. Light feel over the palate with a tingling sensation. Sweet flavors greet the drinker. No alcohol is tasted but is certainly felt. The sweet notes continue to linger after the finish. Wow this was a very good quad. Not over the top like some tend to drift towards, but this was solid through and through. yumyum (124), barrie, Ontario, Canada

a very nice brew if you are inthe mood for a slightly sweet beer. BrewDad (2372), Olympia, Washington, USA
