Commercial Description:
Gulden Draak is a dark brown Triple Ale, which makes it an exception among the Belgian Triples. The second fermentation offers the nice creamy head, the full body and all the vitamins of the centuries old brewers yeast. It is a "thick" beer, that you can actually "eat" to adventure the complex taste. Gulden Draak balances a natural malt toffee-like sweetness with a mellow happiness and some hoppy accents. The aroma is round, sweet and reveals the 10.5 alcohol by volume.

Bottle from The Bottle Stop in Bramhall. Hmm I’m getting nail varnish in the nose...dammit woman. My house is too small and I can hardly go and ask her to sit in the garden. So that’s all I can smell unfortunately. Strong, sweet, sugary. Not bad but there are better triples, nice for a change though.

Draught @ BrickStore Pub Classic aroma of belgian ale. Pours brown/red and looks thick, the head is immense and creamy, in fact if you put your finger and scoop some out, it’s like whipped cream consistency. The taste is malty, biscuit, maybe some ’cream soda’ . Felt thinner than I expected... a fine belgian no doubt.

Hazy redish brown with a thick off-white head. Fruity and spicy tones. Malt, sweet fruits and high carbonation and some alchohol sweetness. Full body with a sweet finish.

Draft. Reddish brown in color with a small tan head. Aroma was filled with malt and dark fruits. Taste was much of the same with a nice smooth aftertaste. Overall this was a very enjoyable beer that I will be having again and recommending to friends.

330oz bottle wonderful reddish brown color with a light brown head. Sweet malt toffee aroma. Perfect meger of a fine brown ale and belgian trippel. Defiintely one of my favs.

Dark red with a high head. Sweet and syrup-like aroma with dark berries. The flavours are very sweet also with alcohol dominating along with raisins, port and some dark chocolate. Way too thick and alcohol influenced by my liking.

Spring day. Folks walking around. The baby is sitting with us. A caramel, tripel in the right glass. It feels good.

Dark rewd brown beer with a creamy somewhat brownish head. Opaque. Fruity, creamy almost milk chocolate-like aroma. Bit too alcoholic. Sweety, salty sour aroma. Dry palate with a bitter-sweet base and hints of coffee, pure chocolate and cherries. Rather bitter aftertaste and a bit too alcoholic. This beer warms your guts up as if it were some kind of liquor.
