| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 12, 2007 Pours a nice head that seems to form mountains and valleys. This stays with you through the serving. Dark and flavorful - almost tempting you for further investigation. Dark caramel and hoppy piney goodness abound. Yum! Erdinger2003 (127), Ames, Iowa, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Dec 12, 2007 This beer pours a nice finger width of head. It’s a nice dark color that looks frothey on the top and inviting. It holds a good lacing and smells like a sweet and hoppy beer. It tastes sweet and hoppy with a wonderful balance of both flavors. It feels like silk and slides down my throat very easily. It’s a very drinkable, an excellent beer. Slipstream (785), USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Dec 11, 2007 Updated: Dec 18, 2007Fabulous white bottle, with a medieval-looking golden dragon (or is it a dog?) on the label. A big head comes foaming up and then sticks around. Dark brew with a mild, sweet aroma. The flavor is syrupy and malty, with hints of mead and raisins, and the brew is smooth on the palate. Hops and spices are barely noticable, but the 10.5% alchohol level comes thru very clearly. Sad to say, this is not as good as I hoped for. This is a mediocre Belgian hiding behind a cool label and bottle, and at $5 (US) for a 1/3 liter bottle, it was no bargain. MrBendo (1044), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

Aroma of toffee, dark fruit, caramel malt and yeast. Medium sweet and a heavy body. Alcohol well covered. Slightly syrupy texture. BlackOut (43), East End, England

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 6, 2007 Pours a dark dark amber, with a nice big froathy sicky head. Aroma is sweet, with notes of berry, and caramel most prominent. Flavour is sweet, with lots of berry goodness, and like the the aroma promises a little bit of caramel. The beer is a touch unbalanced with only a little hop bitterness at the end, but I like the flavour so much I didn’t mind. The beer gets better as it warms up.
