The color is dark reddish brown, the foam is thick. Aroma of alcohol, cola and fruit. The beer has a warming feeling. Full-bodied, fruity, sweet, malt and yeast. Aftertaste is long and sweet. Jblauvs (581), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

Sweet raisin, citrus, almost orange juice aroma. Dark golden orange hazy, tan appearance, little foam with minimal retention, ... faded after a couple minutes. Taste was a heavy cloying sweetness, some burnt flavors, maybe figs ... very strong but not overpowering. Full body, creamy texture, lively, long and sweet finish. Alcohol is present throughout the beer - but soothing - not strong. Excellent dark triple!! One of my favorites. HonkeyBra (1342), Lemont, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Dark, murky brown pour with some head, some lacing. Aroma of mild sweetness, slight dough, belgian yeast. Flavor is mildly fruity, mostly prunes and raisins, some doughy breadiness, and a slight herbal bitterness. A bit on the low side of carbonation but is fine for the style. Finishes a bit sweet. Its fine, but not as awesome as I’d hoped. Thylacine (260), Tasmania, Australia

Sweet and malty, slightly spicy with dark fruit (prunes). Smooth, very little bitterness and with a pleasant alcohol warmth. Very enjoyable. ralphdot (75), Billingham, Durham, England
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Very dark red in colour with a thin head, lot of fruit in the aroma and the taste is very complex, it was like eating a quarter pound of Midget Gems in one go (this is a UK thing I think), Lyons Midget Gems that is, not Maynards and it is strong, a new favourite for me. beerlady (457), lucerne, Switzerland
