A nice clean smooth dortmunder. Nice mild hop spice and plenty of sweet caramel malt. Very pleasant and easy-drinking, and hides its alcohol well.

I didn't know what the style of this beer was as I started drinking it, and thought it was closest to a bock. It has that rich, malty, gooey bock quality to it, along with lots of caramel. I used to like this style more and have rated previous examples higher. So this is sort of a style influenced rating. And I might come around to the style again. If you like this type of beer, I would certainly recommend this one.

Alcoholic and bready nose as described, with a rich malt middle that fades to a watery, but sweet finish. Easy to drink and perfect with a burger.

I liked this. However, this was my first Dort and think myself a little too "green" to discuss with any authority. It was fuller than a pilsner, less carbonation...nice flavor.

This is a very nice beer. It has a malty palate, a syrupy mouthfeel and a clean finish. Nice color. I definitely can recommend it.

Wondedrful malty aroma, with a subtle noble hop background. Faint hints of honey. Dark gold color, with a dense, off-white head. Light palate, with a good balance of bitterness to round it out slightly. Flavor is malt upfront, with roasted/honey notes, followed by more noble hops. Great roasted malt tail.

Orange coloured, nice head. Grainy and spicy aroma and flavor. Smooth bitter-sweet finish.
