On tap @ Kafe Belgie, Utrecht. Golden brown with a nice tan head. Sweet aroma. Hit the tonunge with a mit of malty sweetness then ended with some acidic hoppiness. Not bad, but I guess I’m not really a Dort kind of guy.

Slightly orange-amber, modest tan head with good lace and retention. Malty caramel aroma, some sharp faintly citrus element too. Caramel sweet malt palate with faintly fruity hop character. Medium bodied with a tangy finish. Good.

Nice looking honey coloured body but with a short lasting off-white head. Burnt caramel, alcohol and fruity hops combine well in the near full aroma. Flavour follows the aroma pretty well, also a little nutty, sweet, and a little bit of cloying sticky pepper in the finish. This is not one of my favourite styles of beer, but it still went down well.

24 May 2005 - Sweet hopped aroma. Clear golden colour, good head and lacing. Some spiritous and sweet fruit flavour, but a bit too simplistic. Sweet lingering finish.

Red amber coloured beer with a nice off-white head. Sweet malts and caramel dominate the nose, German character. Sweet malty taste with a sort of acidic touch. A bit thin on the palate but nonetheless pleasing beer.

Not my cup of tea this kind of beers, mostly. In between amber and lagers. Most of them are too sweet to my taste. This one is very nosy...a lot of different smells, but did they get the balance right? Sweetish taste, soft bitters too.

Draught @Kafe Belgie, Utrecht
Nice amber brown, good tanned head. Sweetish lemony, hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, liquerish-sweetish palate. Caramelly, malty, solid.
