| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Aroma of very strong and spicy German hops melded with some spicy melanoidins. Brownish dark gold and clear with a slowly dwindling head of large white bubbles under a fine foam. Bocky, strong lager with tons of ethanol flavour throughout and a brown sugary taste. The bitterness comes in at the end together with some bitter walnut. The alcohols don’t end at ethanol, but sort of seems a bit like ispropanol with the bitterness. Yuck. Very warming, light to medium body, medium carbonation, slightly bitter finish. TrappistNr8 (15), Goes, Netherlands
