Bottled. Very deep amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, some alcohol and mild metal. Flavour is caramel malts and some mild notes of grass and spicyness. Quite watery feeling over it.

Red-brown colour, off-white head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavour is of malts, sweet and caramel. Sweet and dry aftertaste. One-dimensional. People at Gulpener just don’t know how to brew a decent beer.

Keg on tap at A ge Panne, Schin op Geul, NL Limburg. Dark brown with red hue, tan head. This is down as a Seizonbier, but it seems to be constantly available on keg at this wonderful pub on the valkenburg road. Heavy, sweetish and fruity, dark and deep in flavour. A late hoppiness completes a decent beer. Nice.

My very first and so far only Gulpener beer. Bottle. Dark brown colour with a bubbly average lasting light brown fair sized head. Aroma of toasted malts, spices and some sweet caramel. Sweet aroma of dark malts, some bitter hops, some fruits (raisins), spiciness and some alcohol. Short lasting slightly bitter aftertaste with a touch of toasted malts.

Deep reddish colour with a small tan head. malty aroma with loads of dark fruit and some caramel sweetness. Light roasted malty flavor with a vague bitterness and some fruity sweetness. Light alcohol note in the finish.
