Corked bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel, porto and raisin in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with porto, raisin and black berries. Some warming alcohol. Hints of dried tropical fruit. Sticky mouthfeel. The ageing does this beer well.

Bottled. Brown color, medium off-white head. Aroma of some roasted and caramel malt, some dried fruit, hint of raisin. Malty taste, hint of toffee, dried fruit again. Quite typical taste of a decent dutch bock if you leave it for a year.

75cl bottle. The aroma is sugary, has caramel malts, bit yeasty and a hint of dust from aging. Hazy, brown coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is sweet, caramel malty with some fruitiness, little dust and sugar. Medium bodied. Bit sticky due to the sugar. Pleasant bock to drink.

Bottle, 75 cl, Jaarling 2008. Brown coloured, small head, beige coloured.Aroma is sweet, with caramel, molasse and dark chocololate. tastes sweet, very little bitterness, a bit resinlike. For me it’s a bit to sweet.

Bottle@BlindTastingSession. Sweet cherry with black berries and dark malts. Ruby colour, beige head, good lace. Rather sweet, nice bitterness, licorice, black berries, light spiced. Sticky, pretty clean.
