30cl Bottle. Clear deep amber colour, thick off-white head. Aroma of caramel, honey, molasses, some bready malts. Flavour is sweet, caramel/molasses, sweet nuts, light bready, light fruity, with a light bitter finish. Medium to fullbodied. Maybe a tad too sweet, but flavourful and easy drinking.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear orange with a medium but fading white head and a sweet aroma with notes of orange, malts and spices. The taste is sweet, with hints of sweet malts, spices, liquorice, mild hops, almonds and ripe prunes. Not a really good springbock

Bottle: Poured a rusty brown with a medium off white head. Aroma is spicy and malts. Taste is weird with a spice, roasted malt, but medicine like finish. Possibly a bad bottle.

300ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)
Bold orangy red, brief scummy head. Lagery, and slightly gluey aroma. Pleasant crisp carbonation. Sweet gluey esters and bready malty vapours head up the nose, and on swallowing there’s a drying, bitter nuttiness, and a tingly thin hoppy bitterness left. That softens to sweet medium-roasted grains. Perhaps a touch thin, as I like my bocks heavy, but certainly quite an interesting taste. There’s plenty of esters and decent spicy breadiness. A bit too much glue at the start, but once you’ve had the full gamut of the tastes and aromas, that stops sticking out so much.

(Bottle 30 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Pours a beautiful clear, warm deep amber golden. Some caramel in the aroma, but also sourish and rotten notes of vegetables. Medium body, notes of caramel, herbs and soap - very very strange. I kinda hope that this is infected and not intended this way. Very subdued bitterness. 140608

A clear amber colored beer, with a beige head. A sweet aroma with grainy and bread notes. The taste is sweet of fruits and caramel. A little bit dry after taste.

33 cl. bottle. Copper color with a nice beige head. Sort of smoked malt aroma. Medium body with lots of creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, with a little smoked meat, and less bitter. That smoke note really comes out in the finish, as does a bit more bitter. Yes, my bottle has the same words as the bottle in the picture. No accounting for palate I suppose.
