(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, clear mahogany with a tint of red. Small, creamy, light brown head. Weak aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Medium-bodied with sweetish, roasted malt notes and some lightly spiced, perfumy notes. Quite nice really - and perhaps the best Dutch Oud Bruin I’ve had. 291006

Bottle. Dark red brown colour with a big baige head. Sweet malty, fruits aroma and a heavy sweet malty, fruity, rye bread taste. Medium body with a sweet finish.

17 June 2005 - (Brasserie Lefeb) - Sweet malt and low hop complexity. Clear dark brown-black colour, with thick lacing and head. Sick sweet flavour and low complexity. Damn sweet malt beer. Overall - This is a beer I would use for cooking, although not too bad for a low alcohol beer.

(bottle) Dark brown colour with a big foamy tanned head slowly lacing. Soft sweet malty aroma with notes of butter and wet straw. Slight sweet flavour, distinctive malty taste with caramel and a buttery pleasant aftertaste with a slight bitterness. Well done Oud Bruin, definitely not too sweet and quaffable.
