The beer also contained much carbonic acid in the glass.
The beer has a clear dark brown color and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is light hoppybitter with a roasted caramel touch. This beer smells malty. Borresteijn (1349), Amstelveen, Netherlands Jul 10, 2009 30cl Bottle at home. Clear amber colour, slight off white head. Aroma of grain, cardboard, light skunky hops, caramel. Flavour is grain, cardboard, caramel, medium sugary sweet with a light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. The pilsener notes are too sharp IMO, and Oud Bruin is my least favourite beer style. I can’t say this is a match made in heaven.. gam (1068), brisbane, Australia Apr 12, 2009 Small head mild carbonation red brown pour aroma woody hoppy toffee mild caramel and biscuit flavour toffee caramel woody mild bitter not a strong tasting beer bland overall finish little malt and bitter pivnizub (4949), Bochum, Porúří, Germany Mar 16, 2009 Bottle: Amber, clear, small foamy off-white layer; grainy-dusty and sweet-fruity nose; mainly sweetish flavour, light bodied, a bit fizzy, empty MF; light sweetish-sourish finish.
