Apr 28, 2005 Updated: Jun 26, 2005(Bottle 30 cl) Vintage 2003 - apparently the recipe changes every year. The back-label claims that this is both top- AND bottom-fermented. I’ve seen this before but still don’t understand the principle. Dark amber, filtered, no head to talk about. Malty and sweet with a rather discreet hoppiness. Fine if not exactly thrilling. (Had somehow expected a wheat-beer "Witte", but I reckon "Witte Kerst" just means "White Christmas".) 280405

Mar 29, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours slight cloudy with a lacing white head. Aroma is spiced and slight oxidised. Sweet malty flavour. Light spice note in the finish. Flavour is more fresh than the aroma. Ends with a lingering sweet caramel malt and light fruity note.

Hopbitter finish. 1997 version, tasted 22.07.03Slightly smoky sherry aroma, no head, hardly any lacing. Sweet sherry flavor, sugary and thin. Cheap sweets flavor. Alcohol. Way past its peak, but still pleasant enough to drink.
