Gunnison Dunkel Weizen

Draught. Pours clear dark brown with a small, fizzy, light brown head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, grain, nutty), light hops (grass), average yeast (dough) with notes of banana, dates, and apple. Medium bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

on tap-pours a big creamy to rocky tan head with a hazy brown color. Aroma is dark malt-caramel, banana, secondary wheat. Taste follows. Mild carbonation.

Dark brown and murky. Frothy, beige head. Big banana nose. Smooth, soft and creamy texture, with a fitting amount of carbonation. Sweet malts up front, but it didn’t finish sweet. Toasty bitterness. Dryish finish, with pleasant notes of lightly burnt toast and nuts. Spicy, grassy aftertaste. Light fruit in the background. Good stuff.
