Cask at Redlight Redlight. Pours a cloudy medium amber color with no head or lace. Thin sheeting coats the glass on a swirl. The nose is quite nice, showing notes of overly ripened red apples, cider vinegar, tart green apple skins, and traces of citric lemon. Flavors follow suit, showing nice balance between browned, sweet red apples and tart green. Traces of brown sugar and tannic, dry skins lend complexity. Medium-light bodied and round up front, transitioning to dry and chalky on the finish. Tasty stuff.

cask @ redlight redlight. Slight tartness on the nose, apple skins, freshly pressed cider. Pours a light golden color. Very tart upfront, tart apple skins, sour apple, with hints of pear, but finishes off sweet with a dryness in the end.

Cask at the Manhattan Cask Fest. At first this was pretty gross, but as I spent more time with it it grew on me a bit. Muddy, cheesy mold and light metal aroma. Ugly pour. Sweet, mildew apples, oxidized peppery sweet flavor. Very different than the Quebec ciders I am used to.

From the barrel at Middle Farm, East Sussex (kept for a week before consumption). Pours a very cloudy, unfiltered amber. Good aroma of brambles and cooking apples. The taste is spicy with a decent balance of dry and sweet. The finish is long with a strong aftertaste. Overall, a good single variety cider.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. Quite possibly the ugliest looking drink that’s passed my lips since becoming active here. A really ugly dirty olive green colour. Completely still looking. The aroma is very sweet apple. The taste is also very sweet with apples and tons of demerera sugar. A bit ugly in most ways really.

Lightly sour apples, a bit minimal. Taste is also lacking something, theres hints of cooking apples. Very drinkable though.
